Details of the program are as follows:
-
The program is open to dues-paying members of the RBC.
-
In general, mentees are non-life masters and mentors are life masters.
If someone requests a non-LM mentor or if a LM wants to be a mentee, we'll
do our best to accommodate either.
-
Jay Huff, VP - Mentoring, matches mentors and mentees.
-
Mentoring pairs are expected to play 8 times a year, preferably in the
games designated as mentoring games.
-
The 5th Tuesdays and 5th Thursdays of each month are designated as mentoring games. These games are open to all pairs, whether in the mentoring program or
not. 5th week games are handicapped.
-
If mentoring pairs cannot play in a 5th week game, they are expected to schedule a make up game.
-
Mentees pay the entry fee for the pair and at mentoring games. The
entry fee for a mentoring pair is reduced to $10 at mentoring games.
Other pairs play for the regular $12 fee.
